Pink Elephant was a Dutch label that put out a lot of funk, psych and Euro grooves during the 60s and 70s. Besides releasing records from their own (mostly dutch) artists, they also distributed records from foreign artists. The great thing about the label is that they also put out some compilations with some of that great material. This compilation for example, 'How pink is that elephant over there', is a cheaper way to buy some rare and wonderful funky and psychedelic 60s and 70s grooves. It contains tracks by Ray Baretto, The Spirit of Voodoo, Robbie Dale, Shocking Blue, Dianne Brooks, Pepper & Soul, etc... One of my favourite freakbeat tracks is on this comp: 'Send me a postcard' by Shocking Blue, with the heavy guitar riff and Mariska's sweet voice shouting over it. Highly recommended!
