Spargo was formed in 1975 in Amsterdam by Ruud Mulder (g), Ellert Driessen (v, o, p), Jef Nassenstein (b) and Leander Lammerink (dr). They became successful with their brand of funk-rock after Lilian Day-Jackson (ex-Hans Dulfer and Solat) was added to the group in 1979 as a singer.
